This article explains how to change the way you browse a location and its assets in the app. You can use structure cards, a hierarchy tree, or an asset list.
Switch the structure view
- Open a location and select Structures.
- Use the view toggle to select one of these options:
- Cards: Shows a card for each structure and its floors. Each floor is tinted according to the compliance status of its rooms.
- Hierarchy: Shows the structure, floor, room, and asset tree.
- Assets: Shows the location's equipment in a list.
Select a floor to open its floor plan. A structure's action menu includes Floors, Timeline, Control schema, and Location details. Other actions, such as Edit structure, Systems, View Responsibilities, and Delete, appear when your role allows them.
Browse assets in list view
Use the asset list when you want to search and sort equipment instead of locating it on the floor plan.
- From a location, open Structures and select Assets.
- Use the Search box to narrow the list.
- Select a column heading to sort the list.
- Open Columns to choose which columns are shown.
The default columns are Photo, Number, Name, Location, Created, and Updated. The additional column options are Photo, QR code, System, Created, and Updated, plus one column for each parameter recorded on the current page.
Filter the asset list
- Open Filters.
- Choose one or more filter options:
- Location: Structure, Floor, or Room.
- Asset Type.
- Compliance.
- System link.
- Has open recommendations.
- Has open cases.
- Parameter.
Parameter is available only after you select an Asset Type. Then choose a parameter and either an Exact value or a product.
Open an asset or select multiple assets
Open an asset's row menu to select Edit, Add recommendation, Assign system, or Delete.
Select rows to display the selection bar, then open Bulk changes to choose Renumber, Assign system, Edit type / parameters, Add to control scheme, or Delete.
The actions shown depend on your role. Delete requires delete permission, and Add to control scheme requires location-edit permission. Selection is limited; when the limit is reached, remaining checkboxes are disabled and a limit notice appears. Process larger groups in batches.
Your column choices are remembered in your browser, so different users may see different columns.
View structures in the mobile app
The mobile app's embedded structure view does not show the Cards, Hierarchy, and Assets toggle. It lists structures directly, and the structure card action menu is not available there.
