Change the app view

This article explains how to change the view of assets within the BriqSafe app, helping you browse and manage assets efficiently across a location. It is intended for viewers who need to switch between different structure and asset display modes.

Switching Between Structure Views

Use the Structures tab within a location to browse buildings, floors, rooms, and equipment using different view modes.

1. Open your desired location.
2. Go to the Structures tab.
3. Choose one of the three view modes by switching between Cards, Hierarchy, and Assets:

View Mode	Purpose	Key Features
Cards	View structure cards with compliance summaries and floor lists.	Access floors, systems, control schema, timeline, and responsibilities from the structure card's actions menu.
Hierarchy	Browse the nested structure and area tree.	Navigate buildings, floors, and rooms in a tree format.
Assets	Browse all equipment (assets) at the location in a list view.	View assets as a sortable and filterable table.

To visually edit assets on a floor plan, click a floor within the Structures tab to open the floor plan editor.

Using the Assets View to Browse and Manage Assets

The Assets view mode displays all assets of a location in a table format, providing an efficient alternative to the visual floor plan, especially when managing many assets.

1. From within a location, open the Structures tab.
2. Switch to the Assets view mode.
3. You will see a table listing assets with the columns: Name, Number, Status, Draft Type, Type, Location, Created, and Updated.
4. Use the Search box to narrow the list by keywords.
5. Apply filters by Structure and Type to further refine results.
6. Sort the list by clicking any column header.
7. Select multiple rows to perform bulk actions such as Duplicate or Move.
8. To duplicate a single asset quickly, use the inline Duplicate action on its row. The copy will have a "(copy)" suffix added to the name.

Note: Asset numbers are manually entered codes and not auto-assigned by the system. Changes made in the list view will be reflected in the floor plan and vice versa. However, inserting an asset at a specific position or drag-to-reorder functionality is not supported.
