This article explains how field users can check the sync queue after working offline in the BriqSafe mobile app. It covers how to access the sync-status sheet, interpret its contents, and manage syncing to confirm that offline work has uploaded successfully.
NoteRequired role: All roles (limited to your own device's queue)
Accessing the Sync-Status Sheet
After working offline, confirm your changes have uploaded by opening the sync-status sheet.
- Tap the sync indicator in the app header. This appears as either a status button or a dynamic island pill.
- This opens the sync-status sheet showing the current upload queue and status summary.
Note: This screen is available only on mobile devices. It is not found on the web app or on any tab or menu, and is reachable only through the sync indicator. Each user sees only the queue for their own device.
Understanding the Sync-Status Sheet
The sync-status sheet displays two main sections:
- Summary card: Shows the overall status of your offline data, including the freshness of cached visit data.
- Pending changes list: Contains all offline changes waiting to upload. Job items are grouped by Location, while all other kinds of changes appear under Other changes.
Managing Syncing
Changes in the queue are uploaded automatically when connectivity returns, but you can take additional actions if needed.
- Let the app sync all changes automatically in the background once you reconnect.
- To push a specific item first, tap the item's boost control. This moves the item to the front of the queue and uploads it sooner.
- After all outbound changes have uploaded, use the Get latest data button on the sync-status sheet to pull a fresh and up-to-date copy of your visit data and control scheme.
Note: The Get latest data option is disabled as long as you have unsynced changes or are offline. Make sure the queue is empty before refreshing data.
Important Limitations and Considerations
- The sync-status sheet exists only on mobile devices; there is no web equivalent.
- It is not part of any visible tab or menu and is only accessible via the sync indicator in the header.
- Each user sees only the queued changes for their own device; you cannot view other devices' queues.
