Change or reset your password

This article explains how to change or reset your BriqSafe account password and how to manage multi-factor authentication (2FA) to keep your account secure. It is intended for all BriqSafe users who need to update their sign-in security settings.

Note

Required role: All users

Change Your Password and Manage Multi-Factor Authentication

Follow these steps to update your password or set up multi-factor authentication using the embedded security tools.

  1. Open Account Settings.
  2. Go to My Settings.
  3. Select the Security tab.
  4. Use the embedded security panel to change your password or enrol and manage multi-factor authentication options, such as a TOTP authenticator app.

Note: The password and multi-factor authentication controls come from BriqSafe’s identity provider embedded within the Security page. If this panel fails to load, an inline retry option appears.

Multi-factor authentication is configured individually by each user. There is no organisation-wide policy that forces all users to enable it. The available multi-factor options depend on the configuration of the hosted sign-in security widget.

Reset a Forgotten Password

If you cannot sign in because you forgot your password, use the password reset feature.

  1. On the hosted sign-in screen, click the forgot-password option.
  2. Enter your email address associated with your BriqSafe account.
  3. Check your email for a secure reset link.
  4. Open the link to set a new password that meets the displayed requirements.
  5. Use your new password to sign in again.

Important: The password reset confirmation message is deliberately generic and does not reveal whether the email address is registered. If you do not receive an email, the address may not be in the system. Reset links expire and cannot be reused, so request a new one if needed.
