You can add or rename assets if your role includes approval rights; additions by Managers, Admins, Owners, or Inspectors are approved immediately, while those made by Engineers await review. Adding an asset is done in the mobile app by opening the location, selecting the header's ⋯ menu, choosing Tree view, expanding to the desired room, then using the room's ⋮ menu to pick Add asset and selecting the asset type.
Editing details or parameters of an existing asset is possible if you have approval rights to save changes immediately; otherwise, edits become pending and require reviewer approval before taking effect. Deleting assets requires delete permission, which Engineers lack; instead, Engineers can request deletion via a button on the asset screen, which submits the request for reviewer approval. Renaming an asset is part of editing its details once approved.
Tap points are a type of asset and managed similarly. To remove or rename rooms or other areas, higher roles like Managers or Inspectors use the web or admin app for location hierarchy edits. If you cannot perform these actions, ask a Manager, Admin, or Owner of your organisation to make them for you. You can find where to do these by opening the location’s Structures tab and switching to Hierarchy or Tree view, depending on your platform.
