Temperature measurement results

This article explains what happens when you complete a job containing a temperature measurement and how to interpret an out-of-range result.

Note

Required role: Engineer

Complete a job with a temperature measurement

  1. Complete the job as normal.

An out-of-range temperature reading does not prevent the job from being completed. After completion, the server checks the reading against the applicable rule in the Control Schema.

Interpret the completion message

The job form does not show a pass or fail result. A breach is detected after the job is completed.

  • Job completed. A case was created for review. A case was created because the reading warranted escalation.
  • Job completed. A case is already open for this issue. A case for the same rule was already open, so another case was not created.

The back office picks up cases created from breaching readings.

Understand offline results

If you complete the job while offline, the app shows Job completed. Will sync when connected.

Readings queued while offline are not evaluated in the app and do not show a case message. The server evaluates them only after the queued readings sync. If a case is warranted, it is raised at that point.
