This article explains how to add completion notes when signing off a visit using the BriqSafe mobile application. It is intended for engineers performing on-site work who need to finalise visit records and communicate observations to the back office.

Adding Completion Notes During Visit Sign-Off
When you close out a visit after completing or skipping jobs, you can add comments to provide observations or summaries that the back office can review alongside the visit record.
- Work through the jobs at the Location, completing or skipping each one as appropriate.
- On the job list, tap Close Visit to open the Close Visit screen.
- Go to the Sign Off tab and review the JOB SUMMARY, which shows counts of completed, unable to complete, and not completed jobs.
- In the COMMENT field, type any notes or observations you want to record about the visit. This field is optional and allows up to 2000 characters.
- Provide your signature by either drawing it on the signature pad or ticking the confirmation checkbox labeled I confirm that all jobs have been completed or skipped with valid reasons, and the information provided is accurate. Note that drawing a signature clears the checkbox and vice versa.
- Tap Close Visit, then confirm by selecting Sign off this visit? with Sign off.
The visit status will change to Completed and sync with the web app. Any jobs left pending at sign-off are automatically marked as skipped and recorded with an automatic skip reason for back-office review.
Notes on Comments and Skipped Jobs
If the visit contains no completed jobs, signing off will record the visit status as Skipped. In this case, if you provide a comment in the sign-off, that comment becomes the recorded reason for skipping the visit instead of the automatic skip reason.
Be aware that the Close Visit screen’s submit button will remain disabled until you either draw a signature or tick the confirmation checkbox.
Additional Considerations for Visit Sign-Off
- If your organisation has counter-signatures enabled, a Representative tab will appear next to Sign Off on the Close Visit screen. You must enter the building representative’s Name and Role and collect their drawn signature there. Finish the sign-off from the Sign Off tab as usual.
- The Representative tab only appears if counter-signatures are enabled. If it is missing but counter-signatures are required, signing off without the representative’s signature flags the visit for review.
- Make sure to open the intended visit before signing off. Opening the Close Visit screen without selecting a specific visit on a Location with multiple active visits may default to the first active visit and close the wrong one.
- Once signed off, the visit is locked on the device and jobs can no longer be edited there.
