This article explains how to choose the main views in BriqSafe on web and mobile, including the home screen, Dashboard, Locations, Structures and organisation settings.
Open your home screen
- Sign in to BriqSafe.
- On web, select My BriqSafe in the main navigation. On mobile, open the app or tap the My BriqSafe tab.
On the web, the home screen shows your daily job progress, Jump back in and Latest Reports. At desktop width, the right column also shows the Locations map and My upcoming visits. On narrower screens, these sections move below the left column.
On mobile, the sections appear in a fixed order: daily visit progress, location or notification banners, My Quick Actions, upcoming visits, Jump back in, My Locations and Latest Reports. Pull down to refresh the sections. On a tablet, Jump back in and Latest Reports appear side by side above My Locations.
The Scan QR action is available to every user. Create Job appears only for roles that can schedule visits.
Choose a Dashboard view
- Open Dashboard from the main navigation.
- Use the pill tabs to select Overview, Job Summary or Site Information.
| View | What it shows | Available filters |
|---|---|---|
| Overview | Portfolio KPIs and widgets, including clients, sites, completed risk assessments, reporting time, job performance and results. | None. This view always reflects your full accessible portfolio. |
| Job Summary | Job progress by category, activity type and Location. You can drill down to the individual job table. | All Clients and a period such as Last 30 days, Last 60 days, Last 90 days, This month, Last month, This quarter or This year. |
| Site Information | Implementation progress and roll-up totals for assets, technical recommendations, risk assessments and jobs. | All Clients or a specific client. |
Dashboard tabs and widgets are fixed. You cannot add, remove or rearrange widgets, save layouts or save filter presets. Filters reset when you leave the tab or reopen the Dashboard.
Browse Locations and Structures
- Open Locations.
- Search by Location name or address, or open Filter.
- Use Assignees and Activities to narrow the results, then select Apply Filters.
- To reuse your filters, select Save Preset. Use Delete Preset to remove a saved preset or Clear All to reset the filters.
At full width, the map appears beside the list. On a narrow screen, select Show List to open the list as a bottom sheet. Select a single map pin to open a Location. A numbered cluster pin only zooms in until individual pins appear.
Open a Location and select Structures. Use the view toggle to choose:
- Cards: shows one card for each structure and its floors.
- Hierarchy: shows the structure, floor, room and asset tree.
- Assets: shows the Location's equipment.
The mobile embedded view does not show this toggle. It lists structures directly.
Use a Location's tabs
When you open a Location, its tabs appear in a fixed order. Select a tab to open that part of the Location:
- Overview
- Structures
- Cases
- Visits
- Jobs
- Control Schema
- Recommendations
- Responsibilities
- Users
- Rotation plan
- Timeline
- Documents
- Billing
- IoT Devices
When the window is too narrow, trailing tabs move into a More menu. The selected tab remains visible. IoT Devices moves first.
There is no separate Logbook tab. The logbook report view is available on the Jobs page beside Upcoming and History for users who can generate reports. Systems are managed under a structure, and assets are available through the Assets view under Structures.
Switch organisations and open settings
- On web, select Expand sidebar if the sidebar is collapsed.
- At the top of the sidebar, open Switch Organisation.
- Select the organisation you want to use.
On a phone, open the drawer menu from the header to find the organisation switcher. You can also open Organisation Settings and select My Organisations. Open an organisation and select Switch to this organisation. The active organisation is marked Current.
The available settings depend on your role. For example, organisation administrators can edit organisation details and branding, while report presets are managed from Organisation Settings > Report Presets.
Understand loading and access messages
- If onboarding is incomplete, BriqSafe opens onboarding instead of the home content.
- If Location permissions cannot load on the web home screen, BriqSafe shows Failed to load permissions with Retry.
- On mobile, some sections are hidden while loading. Pull down to refresh if a section remains unavailable.
- If your account has no active organisation, or has been deactivated, the home content is replaced by an account message and the available action.
