Add an ad-hoc job during a visit when you find an Asset that was not on the schedule. You can add the Asset from the hierarchy or create a new Asset without returning to the office.
NoteRequired role: Engineer
Add an ad-hoc job
- Open the visit job list and tap Add jobs.
- In New job, select the activity type.
- Tap Add asset, then choose one of the following options:
- Select from hierarchy to choose an existing Asset.
- Create new asset to register an Asset found during the visit.
- If you create a new Asset, select the required Asset Type. Enter an Asset Number if you have one. If you leave it empty, the Asset is numbered automatically. You can also enter an optional Asset QR Code.
- Tap Add.
- Repeat the asset steps for each Asset that needs the activity.
- Submit the job by tapping Add job. When more than one Asset is attached, the button reads Add jobs.
The created jobs appear in the visit. Tap a job to open the form for its activity type.
Complete a single-Asset job immediately
You can complete the job while adding it when it has exactly one Asset.
- In the Activity card, tap Complete job.
- Complete the activity form.
- After completion, return to New job. The card shows Done and Undo.
- Tap Add completed job to close the screen.
Complete job stays disabled until you select an activity type and attach exactly one Asset. If more than one Asset is attached, the card states: Complete now is available for single-asset jobs only. The jobs can then only be scheduled.
Important permissions and approval details
- Without job-create rights, the job screen is replaced by a no-permission message.
- Without Asset-create rights, Create new asset is greyed out.
- An Asset created by an Engineer remains a draft pending approval. Only an Inspector or above has an Asset approved immediately on creation.
