Edit risk conclusion narratives

Use the Risk Conclusion stage to review the computed risk result and write the narrative that explains the overall assessment findings.

Before You Get Started

The following stages must be marked done before the Risk Conclusion stage is available:

• Assets
• Logbook & Activities
• Control Schema
• Technical Recommendations

The Risk Conclusion button stays disabled until all seven stages are done.

Review the risk result

1. Open the risk assessment.
2. Open the Risk Conclusion stage.
3. Read the gauge in the right-hand card under Risk. The gauge ranges from Very low to Very high, or shows Unassessed when there is not enough assessment data.
4. Expand each risk group in the left-hand list to review its Score and the questions used for that group.
5. Compare the result with your professional expectation before finishing the assessment.

Unassessed does not mean that the risk is zero. It means that the items below the gauge have not been assessed yet. Depending on the control regime, the page may show a gauge for each system instead of one overall gauge, or may show no gauge and no risk groups.

In the risk-scoring standard, a factor that was not measured is still included in one of the available options. A blank value can therefore affect the section score. An asset linked to more than one system contributes to every linked system.

Write or edit the executive summary

1. In the Conclusion section, find the field headed Executive Summary, or the title provided by the control regime.
2. Type your narrative, or select Generate to create a draft from the assessment data.
3. Review and correct the narrative. A generated summary is a draft and must be checked before reporting.
4. Select Save.

Select Cancel to restore the last saved text.

Your control regime may add other conclusion fields under Conclusion. Complete and save those fields separately. Enter per-risk-group scores in the risk-factor sections, not in the executive summary.

Update an obsolete summary

If assessment data changes after you save the summary, the field is marked Obsolete. Regenerate the summary or rewrite it, then select Save before reporting.

Handle generation errors

If generation does not work, the page reports Failed to generate summary or displays the reason provided by the platform. The text you previously saved remains available.

Finish the assessment

Write and save the narrative before finishing the assessment. The summary becomes read-only after the assessment is finished. The assessment percentage reaches 100% only when the conclusion is completed with Finish assessment.
