Perform temperature checks and flushing tasks

This article explains how engineers perform temperature checks and flushing tasks in the app during a visit.

Perform a temperature check

1. Open the temperature job and select the Actions tab.
2. Pair a Bluetooth thermometer by tapping Connect. If the parameter allows manual entry, tap Enter manually and enter the reading.
3. When using a connected thermometer, tap Start Temperature Measurement.
4. Wait while the live reading is recorded. The measurement stops when the activity's stop conditions are met.
5. Tap Done to return to the job.
6. Repeat the measurement for each outstanding parameter.
7. Add an evidence photo if the form asks for one.
8. Tap Complete Job.

Temperature measurement results

• The app does not show a pass or fail chip. Each reading is checked against the compliance risk rules when it is submitted.
• When connected, a breaching reading can show Job completed. A case was created for review. or Job completed. A case is already open for this issue.
• If the measurement is queued while offline, no rule result is returned and no case message appears.
• If no stop conditions are configured, the reading stops when it stays steady for ten seconds or reaches the two-minute timeout, whichever comes first.

If the thermometer disconnects

A disconnection during measurement discards that parameter's readings. Reconnect the thermometer and measure the parameter again.

Perform a flushing timer task

1. Open the flushing timer job.
2. Check the Prescribed flush duration.
3. Open the outlet and tap the flush-timer start button.
4. Wait for the countdown to finish.
5. When the status shows Flush complete, close the outlet.
6. Tap Complete Job.

• Complete Job stays disabled while the timer runs.
• The timer continues if you leave the form and open other jobs.
• The timer is authoritative, and the server rejects early completion. The flushing duration cannot be shortened.

Work when offline

The visit list, job list, job forms, thermometer pairing, flushing timer and photo capture continue to work without a connection.

• Readings and job status changes are saved on the device and show a notice that they will sync when you reconnect.
• Photos are added to the upload queue and upload when the connection returns.
• Embedded web pages do not work offline. A Location jobs page opened from a structure card's overdue count shows Not Available Offline.
• Let the photo queue finish uploading before leaving.
