Use this procedure to record temperature readings during a visit with a Bluetooth thermometer or by entering readings manually.

Before You Get Started
- Open a job whose activity includes temperature measurement parameters.
- Use manual entry only when the parameter allows it. The Enter manually option is shown only for those parameters.
Record a temperature measurement
- Open the temperature measurement job. The job opens on the Actions tab.
- For a Bluetooth thermometer, tap Connect and pair the thermometer.
- When the thermometer is connected, tap Start Temperature Measurement.
- Wait while the live reading streams. The measurement stops when the activity's stop conditions are met.
- For a parameter that allows manual entry, tap Enter manually and type the reading.
- Tap Done to return to the job.
- Repeat the measurement for each outstanding parameter.
- Add an evidence photo if the form asks for one.
- Tap Complete Job.
Understand measurement behaviour
- No pass or fail chip is shown on the form.
- Each submitted measurement is checked against the compliance risk rules.
- A reading that breaches a threshold does not prevent the job from completing.
- If the activity has no stop conditions, the reading uses the default measurement settings: it stops when it holds steady for ten seconds or reaches the two-minute timeout, whichever comes first.
If the thermometer disconnects
If the thermometer disconnects during a measurement, all readings for that parameter are discarded. Reconnect the thermometer and measure that parameter again.
Messages after completing the job
When the app is online, a breaching reading can result in one of these confirmations:
- Job completed. A case was created for review.
- Job completed. A case is already open for this issue.
When the job is completed offline, the app shows Job completed. Will sync when connected. Readings queued offline are not evaluated until they sync, so no case message appears at that time.
