View a location's rotation plan

Use the location's Rotation plan tab to see which asset subset a rotation-enabled compliance activity samples in the current cycle. This article is for managers and other users who need to review the plan.

Open the rotation plan

1. Open Locations.
2. Open the location.
3. Open the Rotation plan tab.

Each rotation-enabled compliance rule shows:

• The pattern in use.
• The current coverage.
• The next proposal.
• The proposal history.

If no rotation-enabled compliance rule is configured for the location, the tab reads No rotation plan configured.

Understand what the plan means

Rotation is configured on the compliance rule, not on the Rotation plan tab. The pattern and sample size are also set on the compliance rule. If the proposed subset looks too large or too small, correct the compliance rule rather than trying to change the size on this tab.

A network-position minimum can add sampling points on top of the rule's cycle sample count. For example, a rule with four samples and minimums for one near-source and one far-from-source point can propose six points. Assets at a position with a minimum rotate only against the other assets at that position, with the least recently sampled selected first.

Reset the running period

Note

Required role: Manager and above

Use Reset period when the running block needs to end early. The action works once per period. After it is used, Reset period is disabled until the next period starts.

Viewers and Engineers can see the rotation plan, but they do not see the Reset period button.

When a per-room pattern excludes an asset

A per-room pattern skips an asset that is not in a room-like Area. The next proposal reports points without a room as excluded.

Move the asset into a room-like Area, such as a mechanical or utility room, office, storage area or zone. Do not change the pattern to fix this issue.
