Get to know your home screen

This article introduces new users to the BriqSafe home screen, known as My BriqSafe, on both web and mobile. It explains the main areas of the home screen and what each navigation item leads to, helping you quickly get an overview of your work, sites, job progress, and reports.

Note

Required role: All users

Landing on the My BriqSafe Home Screen

After logging in on the web, you land on your personalised My BriqSafe home screen. This is your main starting point to review your jobs, sites, quick actions, and reports.

  1. Enter your email and password on the hosted sign-in screen.
  2. After sign in, you are taken directly to My BriqSafe.
  3. Use the My BriqSafe link in the main navigation at any time to return here.

Note: If onboarding is not yet complete, you are redirected to the onboarding flow instead of the home screen. A loading placeholder appears while your profile is loading.

Understanding the Left Sidebar Navigation on Web

The left sidebar in My BriqSafe on the web gives you quick access to several key areas:

  • Job Progress: Shows the number of jobs completed versus total for today or tomorrow. You can toggle between these days to track short-term job schedules.
  • Jump Back In: Lets you resume in-progress risk assessments. This section only appears if you can create jobs and have unfinished work.
  • Latest Reports: Lists your most recently generated reports so you can open them quickly. If you have no reports yet, it displays No reports yet. If the reports fail to load, a retry option appears.
  • Upcoming Visits: Shows your scheduled visits for roughly the next two weeks, providing a near-term view without opening the full schedule.

Exploring the Locations Map on Web

On desktop-width browsers, the right column of My BriqSafe shows a map with markers for your accessible sites.

  1. Open My BriqSafe on desktop width.
  2. The locations map renders with a marker for each of your permitted sites.
  3. Click a marker to open that location’s detail page.

Important: The map is not available at tablet or mobile screen widths. Sites without geocoded addresses do not appear on the map. A Loading sites... message shows while sites load. Only locations you have access to appear; if permissions fail to load, an inline error with retry is shown instead of the map.

Using My Quick Actions on Mobile

The mobile home screen’s My Quick Actions section lets you quickly perform key tasks:

  • Scan QR: Open the QR scanner instantly to identify an asset or device on site. This button appears to all users.
  • Create Job: Start a new visit or job. This button only appears if you have permission to create visits; otherwise, you see only Scan QR.

My BriqSafe Mobile Home Screen Layout

Every time you open the BriqSafe mobile app or tap the Home tab, you land on My BriqSafe. The sections appear in the following fixed order:

  • Job Progress: Track today’s and tomorrow’s job completion status.
  • My Quick Actions: Access Scan QR and, if permitted, Create Job.
  • Next Visits: View your upcoming scheduled visits.
  • Jump Back In: Resume incomplete risk assessments (if you have job creation permission).
  • My Locations: See site cards with status indicators for your permitted sites. This section is hidden if you have no assigned sites.
  • Latest Reports: View your most recently generated reports.

You can pull down on the screen to refresh all these sections. On tablets, the Jump Back In and Latest Reports sections display side by side.

Accessing Locations and Reports from My BriqSafe

From the home screen, you can quickly open sites and reports:

  1. Sites: On mobile, tap a card in My Locations to open its detail page. On web, click a map marker to go to the location detail.
  2. Reports: Tap or click a report in Latest Reports to view or download it. If a report file is not yet available, a message will indicate to wait for export completion.

Understanding Location Permissions and Data Scope

Your My BriqSafe home screen and dashboard show only locations and data you have permission to access. This applies to maps, location lists, and all job and report data. Accounts with restricted access see a filtered set of sites and data accordingly. If permissions fail to load, the home screen shows an inline error and gives a retry option.

Using the Main Navigation to Explore Further

The left sidebar and top navigation provide access beyond the home screen:

  • Dashboard: Opens a compliance analytics dashboard with three tabs: Overview (default), Job Summary, and Site Information. Use pill tabs to switch views. The Overview tab shows portfolio-level KPIs and widgets. Job Summary and Site Information allow filtering by client and period (Job Summary only) and drill down into details.
  • Clients: Opens the client list where you can search and view details about client organisations.
  • Locations: Access location management including map and list views.
  • Users & Teams: Available for roles with permission, to manage user roles and access.

Use the organisation switcher in the main navigation to move between organisations you belong to.

Note: The dashboard and all data shown are scoped to your accessible sites. Filters and client selections affect what data you see, and any empty views indicate no data in your scope, not an error.
