Use the mobile app to identify an asset on site by scanning its physical QR label. The asset record opens with its information, linked systems, jobs, and recommendations.

Scan an asset QR code
- On the mobile home screen, tap Scan QR in My Quick Actions.
- Point the camera at the asset's QR label.
- When the code is read, tap the card showing the scanned value at the top of the camera view. The lookup does not start until you tap this card.
View the asset record
When a matching asset is found, it opens on the Information tab. You can view:
- Photos
- Name
- Asset Number
- Asset QR Code
- Linked systems
- Jobs, including the job count
- Recommendations
To view the asset's jobs, open Jobs. Jobs are grouped into Open, Upcoming, and Historic. Open jobs include those due today or earlier. Upcoming and Historic start collapsed; tap a section header to expand it.
Troubleshoot a QR code lookup
No asset is found
If no matching asset is found, the app shows No assets found for this QR code.
- The lookup includes only locations you can access.
- Deleted assets are skipped. A retired asset's label gives the same message as an unused QR code; the app does not indicate that the asset was deleted.
Two assets use the same QR code
QR codes are unique only among live assets at the same location. If two live assets share a code, scanning it always opens the first-created asset. The newer asset cannot be opened by scanning that code.
