Perform a technical recommendation job

This article explains how an engineer completes a follow-up job created from an approved technical recommendation and records the result with the requested photos.

Before You Get Started

The approved technical recommendation must have generated a follow-up job on the visit. Read the recommendation before starting the job because the job screen does not show its finding text, priority, deadline, outcome selector, or before and after photos.

Complete the follow-up job

1. Open the follow-up job from the visit's job list.
2. Open the Actions tab.
3. Carry out the corrective work on-site.
4. Complete the form defined by the activity type.
5. Attach any photo requested by the form.
6. Tap Complete Job.

Check the recommendation outcome

The recommendation is linked to the follow-up job. After the job is completed, the system checks whether every activity suggested by the recommendation has a completed job.

• If this was the last outstanding suggested-activity job, the recommendation closes automatically.
• If the recommendation suggested several activities, it remains open until the last linked job is completed.
• The recommendation cannot be closed from the field job screen. It can be closed by hand in the web app.

Review before and after evidence

During a later follow-up assessment, finished work appears under Completed since last assessment. Select the recommendation to compare its Before photos with the After photos from the completed job. You can also review the Job results, the Completed date, and use Open job to inspect the completed job.
