Use the BriqSafe app to report that a room is vacant during a visit or update its occupancy from the location structure.
NoteRequired role: Engineer
Mark a room as vacant during a visit
- Open Visits and select the visit card.
- On the section header for the room or floor, tap Floorplan. Tapping the section name only folds the section.
- Tap the room on the floor plan.
- In the footer, tap Mark as Vacant.
A confirmation message, Room marked as vacant, confirms the update. The occupancy belongs to the Area, so it remains after the visit.
Change the room back to in use
Open the same room on the floor plan and tap Mark as In Use in the footer.
Set a room's occupancy from Structures
- Open the location's Structures tab.
- Switch to the Hierarchy view.
- Open the room row's actions menu and choose Edit.
- Set Occupancy to Vacant.
- Choose Save changes.
To report that the room is in use again, set Occupancy to In Use before choosing Save changes.
Important details
- Jobs on a whole Structure or System have no Area. They appear under All Jobs, which has no Floorplan button, so you cannot open the plan from that section.
- The footer button appears only for users who can update Areas.
- If the update fails, BriqSafe shows Failed to mark room as vacant and leaves the room unchanged.
- Occupancy is available when editing a room, not a floor. Room occupancy has only two values: In Use and Vacant.
