Get started with the mobile app

This article explains how to move around the BriqSafe mobile app, find today's visits, open locations and assets, and work through job lists.

Open the My BriqSafe home screen

1. Open the app or tap My BriqSafe.
2. Review the sections in their fixed order: the day's visit progress, any location or notification banner, My Quick Actions, your next visits, Jump back in, My Locations, and Latest Reports.
3. Pull down to refresh all sections.

The daily progress section is titled My Visits for field users and Visits for Manager and above. Its ring shows the date, day name, and the number of your jobs that are done out of the day's total. Tap Today or Tomorrow to switch days.

On a tablet, Jump back in and Latest Reports appear side by side above My Locations. The section order cannot be rearranged.

Note: Some sections are hidden while they load or when they do not apply. If Next Visits, Jump back in, or Latest Reports shows nothing after loading, pull down to try again. An empty card can also mean that loading failed.

Find today's next visit

1. On My BriqSafe, swipe the visits slider.
2. Tap a visit card to open its job list.
3. Tap the address row to open the location in your map app, or tap an activity tile to filter the job list to that activity.

For field users, the section is named My Next Visits. For Manager and above, it is named Next Visits. Each card shows the location, time slot, distance when location access is granted, and jobs done out of the total. The slider follows the Today and Tomorrow switch and does not show later days.

Open today's assigned visit

1. Tap the Visits tab.
2. In My Visits, swipe left or right, or tap the calendar icon and choose a date.
3. Tap a visit to open its work.
4. Open a section for an area, then tap the card for an asset, room, floor, system, or building.
5. Tap a job panel to expand it. The first job still to do is already expanded.

Risk-assessment jobs, timed-flush jobs, and location-level jobs appear as single rows and open on their own.

On a tablet, visits appear in three columns headed Today, Tomorrow, and the following weekday. Visits shown while you are connected are cached automatically for offline use. A visit created elsewhere after you go offline does not reach your device, so refresh the list while you still have a connection.

Browse locations and assets

1. On My BriqSafe, scroll to My Locations.
2. Tap a location card to open it.
3. To browse its building structure, tap the header ⋯ menu and choose Tree view.
4. Expand the structure and floor to find rooms and assets.

Each My Locations card shows the location photo, name, address, and one status mark: a red count of open cases, an amber count of overdue jobs, or a green check when neither applies. If more than nine locations are in scope, tap Show more. The grid shows the first nine locations in list order.

To find an asset by its label, tap Scan QR on the home screen or in My Quick Actions, point the camera at the asset's QR code, and tap the scanned value shown at the top of the camera view. A match opens the asset on its Information tab. If there is no match, the app shows No assets found for this QR code.

Work through a visit's jobs

1. Open a visit and tap the relevant area or asset card.
2. Use the filter icon to open Filters.
3. Filter by Activity type or by a status such as Open, Completed, Overdue, Skipped, Not performed, or Building closed.
4. Tap Apply, or tap Clear all to remove the filters.
5. Use the search icon and the Search jobs... box to find a job by name.

Not performed and Building closed are set by the system. They identify work that you can no longer act on.

Use quick actions, notifications, and documents

• In My Quick Actions, tap Scan QR to open the QR scanner.
• If you can schedule visits, tap Create Job to open the create-visit flow. Jobs are created inside a visit rather than as standalone jobs.
• Tap the home-screen bell, then choose Inbox or Archived. For a linked notification, tap View Details.
• Open the menu and tap Documents to access the document library. Tap a file to open it in the app's image viewer or the system browser.

Work when you lose connection

The visit list, job list, job forms, thermometer pairing, flushing timer, and photo capture continue to work offline. Readings and job status changes are saved on the device and sync when you reconnect. Photos are added to the upload queue.

1. When you reconnect, tap the round cloud button at the top right of the header if changes are still waiting.
2. Open Your changes and review the pending items.
3. Tap Upload now, or let the app upload automatically.
4. When the queue is empty, tap Get latest data.

Embedded web pages do not work offline. A location jobs page reached from a structure card's overdue count shows Not Available Offline without a connection.
