This article explains how to schedule visits using the Scheduler from the control schema in BriqSafe. It is intended for users who manage scheduling activities and visits based on a location’s control schema.

Accessing the Scheduler and Planning Visits
Use the Scheduler to view and plan activities and visits generated from the control schema created via risk assessment.
- On the home page, open the Sidebar and select Scheduler.
- Click the To Plan filter to list activities and visits awaiting scheduling.
The To Plan list includes both standalone activities and visit-template occurrences, shown distinctly.
Scheduling a Visit from the Control Schema

You can schedule single activities as standalone visits or visit templates grouping several activity types. This section covers scheduling standalone control-schema activities only, which are not part of visit templates.
- In the To Plan list, select a standalone activity awaiting scheduling.
- Review the activity details including its frequency, the in-scope assets, and the number of jobs it will generate.
- Select the desired date for the visit. Note that you can pick any date, as date-blocking for regulatory compliance windows is not enforced.
- If the visit requires consultant sign-off after completion, toggle on Requires review after completion.
- Assign an engineer to the visit by selecting from the list of active users. Note that only active users appear; no filter by competency is applied.
- Confirm to create the standalone visit.
After confirmation, the activity moves from the To Plan state to planned. The system automatically queues the next occurrence of the recurring activity based on its frequency in the control schema. If rotation rules apply, the next occurrence targets the next asset subset instead of repeating the same assets.
Skipping or cancelling a scheduled visit does not remove or consume the next occurrence; it remains in the To Plan queue until scheduled.
Viewing Activities by Engineer
Within the Scheduler’s week view, you can toggle the rows to display either by Location or by Engineer. The Engineer view shows each engineer’s weekly work hours and includes an Unassigned row for visits not yet assigned.
Visit cards in this view are colour-coded by status such as Draft, Scheduled, and Overdue. Use this view to monitor workloads and unassigned visits per engineer.
