This article explains how to create a new client in BriqSafe, add a contact for that client, and link the contact to the client record. It is intended for administrators who manage clients in the system.
NoteRequired role: Owner or Admin
Create a New Client

To register a new client organisation so you can attach locations, contacts, and billing information, follow these steps:
- Select Clients from the main menu.
- Choose Add client to open the Add New Client side panel.
- Enter the Client Name using the legal entity name (this field is required and must be unique within your organisation).
- Leave Client Code blank to have it auto-generated, or enter a unique client code if desired.
- Optionally fill in Address, Tax ID / VAT Number, Status (Active or Inactive), and Notes.
- Select Create Client to save the new client; it will appear immediately in the client list.
Note: Only users with Owner or Admin roles can create clients. If you do not have permission, the form will not be visible.
Add a Contact to the Client
After you have created a client, you can add one or more contacts to keep track of people associated with that client. This is useful for report delivery, invoicing, technical questions, or escalations.
-
From the client list, click the client row to open the Edit Client side panel.
-
Scroll down to the Contacts section, which only appears when the client is already saved.
-
Select Add Contact.
-
Enter the following contact details:
- Contact Name
- Phone in international format (for example, +31612345678)
- Contact Type, choosing one of Primary, Invoicing, Technical, Report, or Escalation
-
Select Add Contact to save.
You can edit or delete contacts using the icons on each contact card. Deleting a contact is a soft delete that keeps historical references intact. Contacts and their certificates are web-only features.
Permissions and Restrictions
- Only Owner and Admin roles can add, edit, or delete clients and contacts.
- Phone numbers must be entered in international format; otherwise, the system rejects the entry.
- Read-only roles can view clients and contacts but cannot make changes.
