Use your notification settings to choose which updates you receive by email, push, or the in-app inbox, and to turn daily or weekly summary emails on or off.
NoteRequired role: All users
Choose your email notification preferences
Set the email frequency for notifications and choose which topics use each channel.
- Open Account Settings and select My Settings.
- Open the Notifications tab.
- In the Email delivery card, choose Immediately, Daily summary, Weekly summary, or Off.
- To give a section its own email frequency, open Advanced email settings.
- In the notification sections, use the Email, Push, and Inbox columns to switch channels on or off for individual topics. You can also use a section's master switch to change the whole section.
- Select Save.
Your notification preferences are updated together after you save.
Note: The available sections, topics, and channels come from the server, so they can differ between environments. Topics marked Required cannot be switched off.
When Email delivery is set to Off, all Email switches are greyed out and no email is sent. Your choices remain saved if you turn email delivery back on.
Turn daily or weekly summary emails on or off
Summary emails are controlled separately from the email frequency for individual notification topics.
- Open My Settings and select the Notifications tab.
- In the Summaries section, switch Daily summary or Weekly summary on or off.
Summaries have an Email switch only. They do not arrive as push notifications or inbox cards. Switching a summary off stops that summary email.
The delivery time, schedule, and Locations included in each summary come from your existing summary preference. The web app does not provide controls to change those settings. A weekly summary is sent only on the weekday set in its preference, so turning it on during the week does not send it immediately.
The Summaries section appears only when the server provides those summary topics.
Understand email and inbox delivery
Turning off email does not remove the same notification from the in-app inbox. Email and the inbox are separate channels, each with its own switch.
- Some events use the inbox, push, and email.
- Some events use the inbox and email only.
- Some events use the inbox only and never send an email or push notification.
Inbox-only topics show only an Inbox switch. Some topics that use email and the inbox still show a Push switch, but changing it has no effect because those topics do not send push notifications.
Check notifications in the inbox
To review notifications that remain in the app:
- Select the bell in the top header to open the notifications panel.
- Review the notification card. If it has a View option, select it to open the related record.
Cards without a View option are not linked to a record and cannot be opened from the panel.
